If you are having issues with the transmission in your Acura car, one of your first thoughts is likely, “Am I still covered?” Performing an Acura transmission warranty check is easy, and the good news is that Acura provides comprehensive powertrain coverage. Here at Acura of Sherman Oaks, we are here to not only help you understand your warranty coverage but also help you fix any issues with your car’s transmission.

The New Vehicle Powertrain Warranty: What’s Covered?

The transmission is a core component of your vehicle’s powertrain. As such, it is covered under the Acura Powertrain Limited Warranty for six years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is longer than the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, which gives you four years and 50,000 miles of coverage. So if your Acura car is newer than six years old with under 70,000 miles, there is a high likelihood your transmission is still covered.

Certified Pre-Owned Coverage

If you purchased an Acura Precision Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, your warranty coverage is even longer. The program extends the original powertrain warranty to seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. If you have an Acura Precision Used model, that warranty is six months or 7,500 miles from the date of purchase.

How to Check If Your Acura Car Is Still Under Warranty

The dates and mileage for these transmission warranties begin from the original in-service date, which is the day the vehicle was first purchased. The easiest and most accurate way to perform your Acura transmission warranty check is to call the service center at Acura of Sherman Oaks.
