Once again, Acura is tackling “America’s Mountain” in the 103rd running of the Broadmoor Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb. This year, the attention is on the impressive capability of the Acura Integra, which will be both a competitor in the race and the pace car. Here at Acura of Sherman Oaks, we will be following the Broadmoor Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb closely, as it’s another exciting chapter in the history of Acura Motorsports.

The Acura Integra Type S Aiming for a Record

One of the cars taking on the 12.42-mile, 156-turn course is the #93 Acura Integra Type S DE5 race car. Piloted by IMSA and INDYCAR veteran Katherine Legge, the powerful sports car will compete in the competitive Time Attack 1 division. Legge finished in the top five in 2024, and she looks to improve on her performance in this year’s running.

The Acura Integra Pace Car

Leading the entire field of competitors up Pike’s Peak will be a custom-wrapped Indy Yellow Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype, which will serve as the official pace car. This model will be driven by Rusty Smith, a three-time US Olympian. The unique vehicle is designed to demonstrate a new line of performance parts being developed for enthusiasts.

This is the 15th consecutive year that Acura has competed in the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb. The automaker’s long and successful history at the event includes numerous in-division wins and course records, which is a testament to the performance and meticulous engineering of cars like the Acura Integra.
