Here at Acura of Sherman Oaks, we are deeply saddened by the recent wildfires in the Los Angeles area. Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors affected by those fires. In response to the wildfires, Acura has stepped up its previous donation to the American Red Cross, with a total of $1 million donated. These funds will go to help people in the affected areas. Here’s an overview of how Acura responded to the LA wildfires with philanthropy that aligns with the automaker’s mission.

A Philanthropic Effort

Before the recent wildfires, Acura had already partnered with the American Red Cross to provide $500,000 for crucial disaster relief. This January, the automaker stepped up and doubled this pledge. This extra cash infusion will help the American Red Cross respond to and help the hundreds of thousands of people across the region affected by this disaster.

Acura is also offering payment extensions and lease deferrals to customers affected by the fires, and dollar-for-dollar matching on employees’ contributions, up to a maximum of $1,000 per employee. Here is what Jennifer Thomas, senior vice president of Corporate Affairs at American Honda Motor Co. Inc., had to say about the efforts: “Our $1 million donation directly addresses the urgent needs of the affected communities, and we are steadfast in our efforts to support their recovery and rebuilding.
