The legacy of Acura performance cars was further cemented recently at the prestigious Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. The latest win in the IMSA WeatherTech® SportsCar Championship marks the second consecutive victory for the Acura Meyer Shank Racing team. Here at Acura of Sherman Oaks, our team is thrilled to recap this event and share information about how Acura's performance cars excel on and off the racing track.

A Strategic Masterclass for the Victory

Drivers Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun piloted the number 60 Acura ARX-06, and they executed a brilliant race to earn the top spot on the podium. They faced adversity early, including an on-track incident and strong rain, but the team’s strategy paid off in the end. An early switch to slick tires on the drying track and a perfectly calculated fuel-saving run allowed Blomqvist to assume the lead on the final lap as competitors were forced to stop in the pit for a last-minute fuel top-off.

Dominant Pace Across the Board

The overall strength of the performance-oriented Acura ARX-06 was obvious all weekend. The automaker’s sister car, number 93, driven by Renger van der Zande, Kaku Ohta, and Nick Yelloly, secured third place and ran competitively in the top three for the majority of the six-hour race.

From the Racetrack to Your Garage

This victory is yet another testament to the engineering and performance perfection of every vehicle built by Acura. The same spirit of innovation, precision, and relentless power can be found on the Acura performance cars right here at Acura of Sherman Oaks.
