The exact process for replacing the battery will depend on your key fob. For the Acura Keyless Remote, you’ll need to:
- Remove the metal blade key, then pry open the fob. We recommend a flathead screwdriver to open the fob up.
- Replace the two batteries. Make sure you’ve got the right type; the part name will be listed on the battery.
- Snap the halves back together. Test the key fob to make sure it’s working!
Acura Smart Key
For the Acura Smart Key, the process is a little different:
- Remove the metal blade key and prop open the fob. Again, a flathead screwdriver will do the trick.
- Replace the battery. Make sure you place the positive side down.
- Snap the key fob back together, then return the metal key to its place. It should be good to go!
