You need to understand the warranties on all your Acura parts when you pick up a new or certified pre-owned vehicle. Since different parts feature unique levels and lengths of coverage, you have to be aware of your level of coverage. The Acura of Sherman Oaks team provides this Acura warranty guide, so you know what’s covered under the company’s guidelines.

Standard Warranties on Acura Parts and Accessories

The coverage period on your Acura accessories depends on when the accessories are installed. If they’re added onto the car when you buy it, they’re covered for four years or 50,000 miles. Accessories and maintenance parts added afterward are warranted for one year or until your standard new vehicle warranty ends — whichever occurs first.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

In new Acura vehicles, the powertrain is covered either for six years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes parts for your engine, transmission, axles, and drive train (either front-wheel or rear-wheel drive).

Federal Emissions Warranties

To ensure your vehicle complies with federal and state emissions standards, emissions-critical parts are covered under your Acura warranty. The exhaust, intake, transmission control, air conditioning, powertrain, and ventilation (among other elements) are covered under this warranty. This coverage lasts four years or 50,000 miles, but extended coverage options are available.

Seat Belt Warranty

Seat belts are an essential part of your car. For 15 years or 150,000 miles, our Acura dealership will replace and repair your seat belt and related functions.
